Joining The Loft Boys, a company typically seen as a male-dominated trade outfit, can indeed present its unique challenges for women. From adapting to the culture and banter to the occasional robust working environment (we really mean bad smells), a bit of resilience and a good sense of humour certainly come in handy! But when it comes to navigating the unexpected – be it a job hiccup or a scheduling snag (which, let’s be honest, happens even in the best of teams!) – it’s often our female colleagues who step up to the plate. They are instrumental in smoothing things over and setting them right again. This isn’t by design, it’s just the natural way our company – like so many in similar industries – has evolved over the years.
